Let’s get experimental! Seeing as I enjoy the company of my co-host so much and he’s got an advantage of following current Hong Kong cinema due to being IN Hong Kong (and sits on a wealth of knowledge about its current status, its players), I thought this episode would serve as an experiment, a test run of me, Kenny B, interviewing my guest about some of the latest releases. Meaning I haven’t had a chance to see, I couldn’t see nor wanted to see possibly but hey, at least the spotlight is away from me for once and onto Paul Fox. Who brings us his Hong Kong cinema June and July picks in the form of Overheard 3, Z Storm and The Great Hypnotist. Michael Wong gets mentioned many times. With Kenny B and Tom K-W. Click the image or link below to access the show!

Let’s talk some high class fucking! Meaning we turn to the more explicit, sleazier side of the big studio Shaw Brothers but they were not all about the kung fu and swordplay. Oh, from The Knight Of Knights (covered on This Week In Sleaze 5) and onwards, erotica trickled its way into these classy, gorgeous period epics that could also feature swordplay and gore. That’s where we find Intimate Confessions Of A Chinese Courtesan from director Chor Yuen. We’ll be talking of that as well as the Chor Yuen directed remake from 1984 called Lust For Love Of A Chinese Courtesan. Click image below or link to access the show!
