  • Christmas Specials at the Podcast On Fire Network!

Posted on December 20, 2013 10:58 pm by Sleazy K

The Podcast On Fire Network crew (as many as we could rope in) gather to ring out the year! Kenny B, Stewart Sutherland, The Great Lord Joshua Regal, Phil G, Dr. Lam and Tom K-W (in a cameo) talk of some of their beloved Eastern and Western Christmas movies, including out of left field choices like Man Of Tai Chi, the Power Rangers Christmas Special and Old Boy. In between there’s promises of oral sex by the hosts of the hosts, trailer talk and stay tuned after the end credits for an additional few minutes of banter. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all you listeners and thank you for the support this year! See ya for 2014? Click image or link below to access the show.

Podcast On Fire 176: Christmas Special 2013

It’s Christmas at the Tightie Whitie Theatre and once again it’s a very special Charlie Cho Christmas! It’s therefore not Category III Christmas movies per say but depraved sights of Charlie Cho for our picks because that does ring true of Christmas…because there’s a lot of cumming (deck the halls and all that) and it’ll make you choke on your egg nog. So strap in for something rather pleasant actually in the form of a US comedy remake called False Lady and something Charlie Cho-esque threadbare and depraved story wise in the form of Hunting Evil Spirit. Also featuring a reading by The Great Lord Joshua Regal of the Christmas classic ‘How Charlie Cho Stole Christmas’, Sean Connery stops by and the This Week In Sleaze team thank you for listening this year and have a very Merry Christmas! • What’s Korean Cinema? 11 – Barefooted Youth & Failan

Posted on December 8, 2013 11:25 am by Sleazy K

Kenny B and Paul Quinn of Hangul Celluloid dips into something old and classic as well as contemorary and classic. An examination of classic waves of Korean cinema and what they meant then and now. For this episode Kim Ki-duk’s 1964 “adolescent film” Barefooted Youth (1964) is discussed as well as Song Hae-sung’s classic drama Failan (2001), about an ever growing love between husband and wife that never met.

The original recording turned out quite rough so thanks to Henrik Andersson for restoring it to perfectably listenable quality. Click image or link below to access the show!

We are back, Hong Kong Horror Month is behind us and we’re going from oh so exciting, messed up genre movies to discussing classic Hong Kong cinema and for this episode the selection is two, depending on your view, martial arts classics in the form of 1981′s The Prodigal Son directed by Sammo Hung and starring Yuen Biao and Lam Ching Ying and Lo Wei’s Fist Of Fury from 1972 starring Bruce Lee. With Kenny B is Phil G (Eastern Film Fans) as well as special guests Chris Jones and Martin Wan of SG Action.Click image or link below to access the show!

  • This Week In Sleaze 24: Tightie White Theatre – The Legend Of An Erotic Movie Star & Temptation Summary II

Posted on November 9, 2013 2:23 pm by Sleazy K

Let’s talk about how fucking is made! Yes, this Tightie Whitie Theater contains looks at two movies about making Category III movies. The commercial adults only genre, tag, symbol breaking the 4th wall a bit and making satire? Or what are they aiming for here? Is it just regular sleaze with a cute gimmick that’s merely an excuse for T & A? Latter is a yes at least for The Legend Of An Erotic Movie Star from 1993 and Temptation Summary II from 1991. • Podcast On Fire 170: Hong Kong Horror Month – Devil Fetus & Seeding Of A Ghost

Posted on October 24, 2013 7:52 pm by Sleazy K

It’s part 3 of our homage to 80s Hong Kong horror and it’s getting wild tonight with Devil Fetus (aren’t you sold already?) and a trip into the mad minds at Shaw Brothers during the 80s in terms of dealing with this genre. Therefore it’s also 1983’s Seeding Of A Ghost we’re covering for this episode so with Kenny B is Sleazy K’s co-host The Great Lord Joshua Regal from This Week In Sleaze and it’s fitting, one of the movies was Category III at least on one video version and the other has plenty of nudity. It’s kind of like the Tightie Whitie Theater after all. Click image or link below to access the show!

Welcome to Hong Kong Horror Month, our October Extravaganza celebrating Hong Kong horror of the 80s! Our Halloween month if you will. Horror from Hong Kong in particular from the early 80s gave us some of the most intense and nastiest exercises in that genre ever so in this series in all simplicity, we thought it’d be nice to review and discuss some during this horror month of the year. With Kenny B is friend and
writer/director John Chance who talks of his filmmaking background, love for horror and the upcoming Indiegogo campaign for his horror movie The Rectory (previously known as Something Like a Phenomenom) before the duo reviews Tom Lau’s 1983 haunted statue movie The Rape After. In the second half, John’s wife Camie Chance recalls the days of discovering horror movies before taking a trip into haunted house/vengeful spirit/Poltergeist rip off known as Possessed from director David Lai. In this episode we all find out if we’re gonna die soon by pumping iron and watching each other’s karma auras.  And we laugh. It’s easy to draw the conclusion therefore that we’re covering 2003’s Running On Karma by Johnnie To & Wai Ka-fai and the Stephen Chow box office smash Flirting Scholar by Lee Lik-chi. Kenny B and Tom K-W are at hand to discuss with returning co-host Hong Kong Dave! Click image below or link to access the show!
